Welcome to Guatemala! Upon arrival at La Aurora International Airport, you will be transferred to the beautiful colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. After check-in, enjoy the freedom to explore on your own, wandering through cobblestone streets, historic ruins, colorful facades, and the lively Central Plaza.

Enjoy a guided walking tour of Antigua’s most iconic landmarks, including the famous Santa Catalina Arch, historic churches, and vibrant local markets. Continue to a traditional coffee plantation to learn about Guatemala’s world-renowned coffee. If time permits, visits may include San Juan del Obispo, a jade workshop in San Pedro Las Huertas, and the historic town of Ciudad Vieja.

This morning, head out on a guided hike to Pacaya Volcano, one of Guatemala’s most active volcanoes. Walk across lava fields, enjoy dramatic volcanic landscapes, and take in breathtaking views. Return to Antigua in the afternoon for leisure time to relax or explore at your own pace.

Travel through the highlands toward Lake Atitlán, often considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. After a scenic drive from Antigua, enjoy a boat tour across the lake, visiting the lakeside village of San Juan La Laguna. After breakfast, visit the legendary Chichicastenango Market, one of the largest and most colorful indigenous markets in Central America. Experience its vibrant stalls, traditional textiles, and cultural rituals before continuing to Guatemala City in the afternoon.

Take a domestic flight to Flores, located in the lush Petén region of northern Guatemala. Settle into this picturesque island town on Lake Petén Itzá and enjoy an evening stroll through charming streets lined with colorful buildings, perfectly timed to catch a magical sunset.

Embark on a full-day guided tour of Tikal National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important ancient Maya cities. Walk through the rainforest, climb towering temples for panoramic views above the jungle canopy, spot wildlife, and uncover the fascinating history of the Maya civilization.

Travel by road to the highland city of Cobán. This is a long but scenic journey, so upon arrival you will have the rest of the day free to relax at your hotel and enjoy the cool mountain climate.

Visit the sacred Lanquín Caves, an important site for the local Q’eqchi’ Maya communities, and explore its impressive limestone formations. Continue to the natural wonder of Semuc Champey, famous for its turquoise pools and limestone bridges surrounded by jungle. Spend time swimming, hiking to viewpoints, and enjoying this spectacular landscape before returning to Cobán.

Return to Guatemala City, stopping along the way at the Quetzal Biotope, a protected cloud forest reserve dedicated to Guatemala’s national bird. Enjoy nature trails and lush scenery before arriving in the capital to prepare for departure.
