Welcome to Guatemala! Upon arrival at La Aurora International Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to the enchanting colonial city of Antigua Guatemala, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After check-in, enjoy a relaxed evening strolling along cobblestone streets, admiring colonial architecture, and soaking in the atmosphere of Antigua’s lively central plaza.

Explore the highlights of Antigua on a guided city tour. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Santa Catalina Arch, historic churches, charming plazas, and colorful local markets. Continue to a traditional coffee plantation, where you’ll learn about Guatemala’s world-famous coffee from bean to cup. If time allows, visit San Juan El Obispo, a jade workshop in San Pedro Las Huertas, and the historic town of Ciudad Vieja, one of Guatemala’s earliest capitals.

This morning, head out for an exciting hike on Pacaya Volcano, one of Guatemala’s most active volcanoes. Walk across volcanic trails, enjoy sweeping views, and experience dramatic lava landscapes. Return to Antigua in the afternoon and enjoy free time to relax, shop, or savor local cuisine.

Depart Antigua on a scenic drive to Lake Atitlán, often described as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Surrounded by volcanoes and highland villages, the lake offers stunning views at every turn. Enjoy a boat tour across the lake, with a visit to San Juan La Laguna, where you’ll connect with local artisans and learn about Mayan traditions, weaving, and natural dyes.

After breakfast, travel to the highlands to explore the legendary Chichicastenango Market, one of the largest and most colorful indigenous markets in Central America. Wander through stalls filled with textiles, handicrafts, flowers, and local produce while witnessing centuries-old traditions. In the afternoon, continue to Guatemala City for overnight.

Take a domestic flight to Flores, the gateway to the Mayan world of northern Guatemala. Settle into this charming island town on Lake Petén Itzá and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. Stroll along the waterfront, admire pastel-colored buildings, and take in a magical lakeside sunset.

Today you’ll explore Tikal National Park, one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guided through the rainforest, you’ll discover towering temples, grand plazas, and ancient ceremonial centers. Climb temples for panoramic jungle views, spot wildlife like monkeys and toucans, and learn about the rise and fall of the Maya civilization.

Travel by road to Cobán, located in Guatemala’s lush Alta Verapaz region. This is a long but scenic journey through changing landscapes. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the cool mountain climate.

Explore dramatic caverns and, witness the natural wonder of Semuc Champey, famous for its turquoise pools cascading over limestone bridges. Swim, explore, and enjoy one of Guatemala’s most spectacular natural attractions before returning to Cobán.

Travel east to the Quiriguá Archaeological Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for having the tallest carved stone stelae in the Maya world. Learn about ancient rulers and intricate Maya carvings. After the visit, cross the border into Copán, Honduras, another jewel of Maya civilization.

Explore the impressive Copán Ruins with a local guide. Famous for their detailed hieroglyphs, sculptures, and architecture, these ruins offer deep insight into ancient Maya artistry and astronomy. After the visit, transfer back to Guatemala City.
Overnight at Guatemala City
At the appropriate time, your driver will transfer you to La Aurora International Airport for your departure. Say farewell to Guatemala, taking with you unforgettable memories of Mayan heritage, spectacular nature, and rich cultural encounters.
